Sigma SD28 Dreadnought
The SD28 is a traditional, premium quality dreadnought with a great tonal personality and generates a full, dynamic and open tone with lots of highs and bass.
Made with a solid Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides, the 28 is a very traditional guitar but its internal construction is a forward shifted scalloped X bracing system with some proprietary tweaks. This creates a more modern, more open and more dynamic tonal palette than many traditional dreadnoughts.
The 28’s differ to the 18’s in the respect of having more pronounced trebles and bass notes, compared to the 18’s more mid-range prominent voicing.
Like all of our instruments the sound box of the 28 is alive and the forward shifted bracing allows for more of the soundboard to vibrate delivering awesome response and player experience.
Traditional components such as a real bone nut and saddle, mahogany neck with a dovetail joint and rosewood bridge and fingerboard add to its tonal capabilities and overall quality, and cosmetically it’s a true classic with ivory ABS binding and inlays.
